On February 3, CNPC and Chengdu Municipal Government inked a strategic cooperation agreement in Chengdu.

CNPC Vice President Zhou Jiping, who is also Vice Chairman and President of Petrochina, and Mayor of Chengdu Ge Honglin attended the signing ceremony and delivered speeches.

According to the agreement, CNPC and Chengdu will strengthen bilateral communications and strategic cooperation, accelerate infrastructure construction and take full advantages of resources and markets to realize a mutual beneficial and win-win outcome.

Chengdu Municipal Government promises to provide all-out support to CNPC's businesses in Chengdu area in terms of oil and gas exploration, oil and gas pipelining, and marketing. CNPC will actively procure Chengdu's ambition of being a world-class modern garden city.
