NWR’s coking coal prices up three percent for Q1 from Q4 levels

Central Europe-based miner New World Resources Plc (NWR) has announced that it has reached agreements with its customers for coking coal and coke sales for the first quarter of 2013.

Accordingly, NWR has set the average agreed price of coking coal for delivery in the first quarter of this year at €103/mt, up three percent compared to the fourth quarter realized price. In addition, NWR's average price agreed for coke sales during the first quarter is €253/mt, decreasing by one percent compared to the fourth quarter realized price.

NWR also announced its production and sales results for the fourth quarter of 2012. While it produced 2.58 million mt of coking and thermal coal and 155,000 mt of coke in the fourth quarter, its sales volumes of coking coal and coke in the quarter were 1.16 million mt and 123,000 mt respectively.
