Reportedly, Indonesian government announced to impose antidumping (AD) duty on imports of cold rolled coils and sheets from five countries, including China, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and Vietnam in order to protect local producers.
It's learned that the AD duty margin of 5.9%~55.6% will be valid for three year.
In the background, the Indonesia Antidumping Committee (KADI) started the AD investigation in response to the application submitted by the local steel producer Krakatau Steel.
Krakatau Steel has suffered from loss from the unfair competition against those cheap imports sold in the domestic market.
