Canada plans to extend the antidumping and countervailing duty orders on Chinese pipes

It is reported that the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) announced to extend the import orders on certain welded carbon steel pipe from China should continue for another five years.

Meanwhile, the CBSA and the Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) have agreed to review of five-year expiry of the antidumping and countervailing duty orders on the product from China in early December.

Nevertheless, CBSA has indicated the AD would effect if the orders were revoked in order to protect the domestic steel industry.
