According to the data released today by Port Hedland authority, iron ore shipment to China in May had grown by 20.7% from April to 23.3 million tons.
May overall iron ore shipment of the port was 27.9 million tons, up from April's 26 million tons. In which, the volume to Japan and Korea were down from 2.6, 2.6 million tons to 2.4, 1.5 million tons.
Iron ore export to China from Port Headland is seen as a strong indicator of Chinese industrial activity.
