Japan's stainless steel mills stopped making export offers for March from the last week.

Stainless steel mills were in wait-and-see mode as nickel prices and China's nickel pig iron prices trend were unclear for now. Besides, Indonesia has implemented a new ban on the export of raw ore.

Nickel prices kept rising over US$14,500/ton and are expected to continue its upward spiral.
