Xinjiang found an 80 BT Coalfield

Through two years geological exploration, a large integrated coalfield with 81 billion tonnes in reserve was discovered in Tacheng Prefecture by the Xinjiang Geology and Mineral Exploration Bureau. The coalfield would provide important resource guarantee for Xinjiang's transformation strategy of resource advantages and implementation of new industrialization.

Besides the coalfield is a third large integrated coalfield discovered in Xinjiang after ZhunDong and Santanghu coalfield.  

According to the Xinjiang Geology and Mineral Exploration Bureau, the main reserves in the new discovered coalfield are long flame coal and non-caking coal, which are well used for industrial, civil and gasification purposes. At present, the coalfield has attracted more than 20 large enterprises, such as CPI, Luneng Group and Xuzhou Coal Mining Group. It has become the fifth coal base in Xinjiang followed by ZhunDong, Ili, Tuha, Kuqa-Baicheng.
