China’s crude steel output by 3.1% in 2012

According to statistics released by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), China's daily crude steel output averaged at 1.86 tons in last December, decreasing by 2.9% from a month ago.

In last December, China's crude steel production amounted to 57.66 million tons, according to NBS.

Meanwhile, NBS's data also showed that China's production of pig iron totaled 657.91 million tons in 2012, rising by 3.7% and the country's finished steel products amounted to 951.86 million tons, increasing by 7.7%.
