CISA: China’s average daily crude steel output decreases slightly

The China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) has stated that in mid-March (Mar. 11-20) this year the average aggregate daily crude steel output of large and medium-sized steel enterprises in China totaled 1.6676 million mt, down 0.47 percent compared to early March (Mar. 1-10). In mid-March, the average aggregate daily crude steel production of all steelmakers in China was estimated at 2.0637 million mt, indicating a decrease of one percent compared with early March.   According to the previous figures from the CISA, in early March (Mar. 1-10) this year the average aggregate daily crude steel output of large and medium-sized steel enterprises in China totaled 1.676 million mt, down 3.3 percent compared to late February (Feb. 21-28). In early March, the average aggregate daily crude steel production of all steelmakers in China was estimated at 2.085 million mt, indicating an increase of 2.5 percent compared with late February.   As of March 20, total finished steel inventory of large and medium-sized steel enterprises in China reached 14.5136 million mt, up 29.6 percent year on year.
