According to data released by Taiwan's customs, Taiwan's import prices of small-diameter wire rods (diameters less than 14mm) averaged at NT$18,346/ton in February, rising by NT$861/ton from a month ago.
Market insiders pointed out that the better market condition drove up the import prices.
Meanwhile, Taiwan's imports of small-diameter wire rods totaled 15,069 tons, falling by 35% from a month ago.
