China’s PPI down 2.7 percent in June, CPI up 2.7 percent

In June this year, China's producer price index (PPI) decreased by 0.6 percent compared to May this year and indicated a decline of 2.7 percent year on year, according to China's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS). Meanwhile, China's average PPI for the first half of this year decreased by 2.2 percent on year-on-year basis.
In the given month, the PPI for China's mining sector decreased by 8.5 percent year on year and 1.9 percent month on month, while the PPI for the overall domestic processing industry decreased by 2.7 percent year on year and declined by 0.5 percent month on month.

In June, domestic industrial producers' purchase prices saw a decline of 2.6 percent compared with June last year and registered a decrease of 0.5 percent on month-on-month basis. In the given month, producers' purchase prices of ferrous metal materials saw a decline of 6.3 percent compared with June last year and were down 1.6 percent on month-on-month basis.

Also in June, China's consumer price index (CPI) witnessed a year-on-year increase of 2.7 percent, while it remained unchanged month on month.
