Sichuan Province-based Chinese stainless steel producer Jinguang Group has commissioned the first phase of its ferronickel processing project at Fangcheng port in Guangxi, producing 33 mt of ferronickel on September 18, as announced by Beijing-based state-owned China Metallurgical Group Co. (MCC) on September 22.
China Enfi Engineering Corporation (ENFI), a wholly-owned subsidiary of MCC, is responsible for the design work and supplying the key equipment for the furnace for the ferronickel processing project. The project in question involves the construction of a total of six ferronickel production lines, while the first phase includes two lines with an annual ferronickel production capacity of 12,000 mt.
