Argentina’s crude steel production falls by 4.4% m-o-m in November

According to the data released by the Argentina's steel chamber (Cisider), the country's crude steel output totaled 396,400 tons in November, falling by 4.4% from 413,700 tons in October and decreasing by 18% from 483,700 tons in the same period of a year ago.

In the first 11 months of this year, Argentina's crude steel production amounted to 4.66 million tons, falling by 9.6% year on year.

Cisider said that the lower crude steel production was mainly caused by the extension of maintenance schedule at some plants.

Meanwhile, Argentina's output of hot rolled coils (HRC) totaled 391,600 tons in November, rising by 1.5% from a month ago while falling by 19.4% year on year. In the first 11 months of this year, the country's HRC production amounted to 4.56 million tons.
