Japan’s scrap market remains stable

It's reported that the Japanese scrap market has remained stable recently.

Its' known that Tokyo Steel has kept its scrap purchasing prices unchanged for consecutive three weeks after reducing scrap purchasing prices by ¥500/ton at its Tahara and Utsunomiya plants on May 8th.

Accordingly, Japanese scrap market have remained unchanged recently.

In Kanto region, the H2 scrap base prices have remained at ¥32,000~¥32,500/ton.

Meanwhile, the base prices of P&S scraps and Shindachi scraps are at ¥34,500~¥35,000/ton FAS.
