It's reported that Nucor announced to raise its plate prices by US$25/short ton, effective immediately.

Meanwhile, SSAB North America Division (NAD) announced to raise its medium heavy plate prices by US$25/short ton last Friday.

In fact, the two companies had sought to increase the plate prices by US$30/short in mid-July but they only succeeded to raise the prices by US$15/short ton.
