Port Hedland’s iron ore exports surge by 20% in August

According to statistics released by the Port Authority, the iron ore shipments made from the Australian Port Hedland totaled 27.4 million tons in August, rising by 2.9% from July and increasing by 20% year on year.

In August, iron ore shipments made to China totaled 22.26 million tons, up by 2.1% from a month ago; those to Japan were at 2.3 million tons and those to Korea were at 2.06 million tons.
