Georgia's semi-finished exports to Turkey increase in Jan-Oct

In the first 10 months this year, Georgia's exports of semi-finished products of iron or non-alloy steel to Turkey, the country's main trading partner, amounted to 48,606 metric tons, totaling a value of $22.83 million, according to the data provided by the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat). No semi-finished product exports were recorded in the same period of the previous year.
 
Meanwhile, in the January-October period of this year Georgia's exports of bars and rods of iron to Turkey surged to 22,860 mt with a value of $13.15 million, up from just 149 mt in the first 10 months of 2012.
