China's import price of ferrochrome (Cr 58~60%) from India has hiked to US$0.84~0.86/lb last Friday due to appreciation of the Yuan.

Indian ferrochrome producers have sold at least 500 tons to China with export price of around US$0.85~0.86/lb CIF East China Sea ports for the end of February shipment.

Chinese buyers indicated the demand for ferrochrome import is still quiet before Chinese New Year holiday. Most steel mills would restart to purchase the raw material after the holiday.

On the other hand, the import price from South African was around US0.83~0.84/lb, remaining stable from two weeks ago.
