Shandong Province is China's major corn oil-producing region, thereby Jining Beiqi will become the new impetus in 2019 if its project progresses smoothly.

On 15 Feb., Luzhou Dongfang announced its intention to improve safety and environmentally-friendly facilities of its 1,400 t/a new pesticide technological upgrading project (including 200 t/a of sulfentrazone TC), in order to remain routine production and supply under current strict environmental requirements. This will contribute to the marekt supply of sulfentrazone TC.

On 23 Feb., Lier Chemical announced details about its 15,000 t/a methyldichlorophosphine, phosphorus fire retardant, and L-phosphinothricin production project. This is aimed at further expanding Lier Chemical's glufosinate-ammonium product chain, maintaining relevant techniques and scale, and enhancing its core competitiveness. Notably, the construction period of the project indicates that Lier Chemical will devote to the expansion of glufosinate-ammonium product chain in the next 3 years.

On 12 Feb., Shandong Kesai announced that its pendimethalin + flumioxazin 34% EC, against annual weeds on cotton fields, will hopefully be registered this month. By then, Shandong Kesai will have 2 flumioxazin formulation registrations in total and China will have more diversified product mix in the sector.
