According to China Customs, China's import and export of corn seed in March, 2021 both went up MoM. Specifically, China imported 112,031 kg of corn seed in March, 2021, with the value of USD1,426,531, up significantly by 1,814.41% and 1,257.49% MoM. China exported 116,000 kg of corn seed in March, 2021, with the value of USD178,400, up by 2,221.86% and 998.79% MoM.

According to the import and export data from Tranalysis, in Feb., 2021, Chinese glyphosate was mainly exported to 20 destinations including the US, Indonesia, Argentina, Ghana, and the Philippines. Those destinations imported a total of 34,957.49 tonnes (actual volume) of glyphosate products from China, or 14,957.78 tonnes (100% AI volume).

As of 21 May, Beidahuang Group has completed rice transplanting in more than 9.31 million ha of ares with high standard, quality and efficiency. Sowing on more than 8.09 million ha of dry land has also been completed on 19 May, which marked the success of the spring cultivation campaign of more than 17.69 million ha of grain crops of Beidahuang Group, which laid a solid foundation for realizing the goal of 21.5 million tons of total grain output in the whole year.

On 14 May, the NATESC held the 2021 national online meeting on summer harvest and soil moisture. According to the consultation, the soil moisture in most agricultural areas of China is moderately good, which is generally conducive to wheat flowering and filling, fruit-bearing of rape and autumn crop sowing and transplanting.

On 20 April, the MOA released a Technological Plan for Reducing and Substituting the Use of Corn and Soybean Meal as Pig and Chicken Feed, aiming to fully explore local feed resources, promote diverse feed formulae, reduce the use of corn and soybean meal as feed, and ensure the effective supply of domestic feed ingredients.
