Up to now, rice was in grain filling stage, corn was in milk ripening stage and soybean was in grain bulging stage. According to the current climate characteristics and crop growth, technical advice on preventing early frost and harvesting autumn grain in Northeast China was put forward.

On 12 Aug., 2021, department of seed industry management, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs(MARA) released the approved varieties of main crops in Shaanxi Province in 2021. There are 80 varieties, including 1 rice varieties and 79 corn varieties.

Statistics of Agro-Tech Extension and Service Department in NHAR's dry farming areas showed that 90% of crops in dry farming areas in central and southern parts of NHAR are in varying degrees of drought whereas some areas are in moderate or severe drought. According to the current drought situation and features of drought, the technical guidance on drought resistance in dry farming areas of central and southern parts of NHAR was put forward.

According to the weather forecast, in the early and middle of Aug., the weather in the middle west of Jiangnan, western part of South China, and Sichuan Basin is expected to turn boiling hot, with local temperature exceeding 35 ℃. With regard to the forthcoming heatwaves and the overall growth situation of rice, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, PRC (MARA) released the technical advice on how to prevent and control the high-temperature injuries to rice in Yangtze River Basin.
