With the outbreak of Spodoptera frugiperda , the market demand for Chlorpyrifos technical increasing, but the market inventory is short. Thus the price is expected to increase. From Feb. to March, China's ex-works price of chlorpyrifos technical increased mainly because COVID-19 outbreak forced restricted production in manufacturers. Besides, producers of O,O-diethylthiophosphoryl chloride, an intermediate for chlorpyrifos maintained a low operating rate during this period. On the other hand, occurrence of Spodoptera frugiperda drove up demand for chlorpyrifos technical. Thus the price of chlorpyrifos technical increased after Feb.

The ex-work price of Emamectin benzoate technical increased from Feb. 2020 to March 2020 in China, mainly due to the impact of the epidemic leading to low operating rate of Emamectin benzoate technical manufacturers in Hubei Province, poor logistics and tight supply of products. Small tebuconazole technical stocks and the reduced domestic supply of tebuconazole technical's intermediate in recent months also contributed to the tight supply of the product. Actually, China's ex-works price of tebuconazole technical has remained high in recent years.

Due to the outbreak of epidemic in China, Lier Chemical's production and supply security was affected negatively, coupled with some raw materials and other factors of production prices have increased, while Guang'an Lier stopped production and promote the construction of technical production line with supporting facilities, is expected to reduce the first quarter results year-on-year. Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, Lier Chemical's production and supply was affected. Nantong Jiangshan started normal production during the Spring Festival. Due to traffic control, poor logistics, upstream and downstream enterprises to resume work delayed the normal production and operation since the Spring Festival in Nantong Jiangshan has had an impact. ADAMA's Anbang base in Huai'an City, Jiangsu Province, has maintained normal production since the Spring Festival, and Jingzhou base has been in a state of shutdown since the Spring Festival because it is located in the affected Hubei province (except for the production of sodium chlorate disinfection fluid), until March, when Hubei agreed to resume work. ADAMA's Anbang base in Huai'an City, Jiangsu Province has maintained normal production since the Spring Festival, while its Jingzhou base in Hubei Province had suspended production (except for the production of sodium hypochlorite disinfectant) owing to the COVID-19 epidemic, and it resumed production in March.

Hubei Province is the major epidemic area and the most affected province of COVID-19 that broke out during the Spring Festival in 2020, which forced the production plant located in Suizhou City, Hubei Province of Hubei Benxing to suspend production. But according to the notice released by the Government of Hubei Province on 11 March, 2020, enterprises engaged in agricultural production within the province are allowed to resume work. Thus, from early March, Hubei Benxing was planning and organizing resumption for its headquarter production plant. Summary: Hubei Benxing's production plant was forced into suspension during the Spring Festival due to the COVID-19 epidemic. Then, according to the notice released by the People's Government of Hubei Province on 11 March, enterprises engaged in agricultural production within the province are allowed to resume production. Hubei Benxing was active in preparing for work resumption in plants in the Province and 60% of its staff were back to work as of 23 March.

Since 3 Feb., Hubei Xingfa's main production facilities have been in normal operation. The outbreak of COVID-19 has a certain impact on the supply chain logistics of the production base in Hubei Province. However, the main base of Hubei important raw materials combined with production needs for scientific advance stocking, so far the company phosphate, glyphosate, silicone, fertilizer and other major production and operation equipment affected by the outbreak is small, is currently in a normal driving state. During 21 Feb. to 5 March, there was a suspended production of silicone and glyphosate for regular maintenance, which also decline the negative effects. Summary: Since 3 Feb., Hubei Xingfa's main production facilities have been in normal operation. The COVID-19 epidemic has certain impact on logistics in Hubei Province. However, thanks to enough stocks of important raw materials, production could go smoothly. So far, production of major products as phosphate, glyphosate, organosilicon, fertilizer has not been much affected by the epidemic. And during 21 Feb. to 5 March, it suspended production of silicone and glyphosate for regular maintenance. It is believed that the epidemic will not have a significant impact on the company's operation.

From Feb. to March, China's ex-works price of glufosinate-ammonium technical increased. Affected by COVID-19, transportation was restricted. Relevant enterprises suspended production, resulting in a tight supply of glufosinate-ammonium technical. Besides, as the peak season for glufosinate-ammonium comes, the price is expected to increase.
