On 14 July, Chenguang Biotech released its semi-annual performance forecast of H1 2021. During the reporting period, the revenue and net profit are expected to rise with a YoY growth of over 10%, which can be attributed to the increase in main products' revenue, such as capsanthin and chili essence, and the rapid development of potential products, like stevia.

On 6 July, MoIT of Vietnam made an anti-dumping affirmative preliminary arbitration to sorbitol originated from China, India and Indonesia. Specifically, China's sorbitol is levied a provisional anti-dumping tax for up to 68.50%.

On 25 June, the EIA of Weinihao Biotech's chicory deep processing project (Phase I) passed the review from local bureau of ecology and environment. When fully operated, the project will have a capacity of 20,000 t/a inulin, and 2,000 t/a HFCS.

On 13 July, the Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region made an announcement on promoting the development of artificial weather modification, which puts the emphasis on the weather forecast level in major agricultural products (sugarcane, for example) planting reserves, aiming to ensure the supply of agricultural products and crop safety.

On 28 June, Bailong Chuangyuan announced an investment plan on the 15,000 t/a crystalline sugar project of USD24.73 million (RMB160 million). Once the project is fully operated, additional 10,000 t/a capacity of fructose, and the total 6,500 t/a capacity of allulose will be realised.
