On 29 April, Longlive Biotech published its 2018 financial report, showing sales of USD127.11 million (RMB856 million), down by 56,47% YoY, and a net profit of -USD416.52 million (-RMB2.81 billion), down by 21.01% YoY. Its Q1 financial performance kept falling. Its Q1 sales decreased by 57.53% YoY to USD15.23 million (RMB102,592,531.97) and its net profit fell by 420.22% YoY to -USD14.33 million (-RMB96,524,053.90).

On 30 April, Huazi Industry published its 2018 financial report. Its sales declined by 60.93% YoY to USD9.71 million (RMB65.40 million) and the net profit fell by 1,075.67% YoY to -USD17.37 million (-RMB117 million). It announced its Q1 financial performance on the same day, revealing sales of USD1.44 million (RMB9.71 million), up by 872.58% YoY, and a net profit of USD9.54 million (RMB64.27 million), up by 415.90% YoY.

in late April 2019, environmental regulators of Fuyang City published the 2nd EIA report of Fufang High-tech's 5,000 t/a glucosamine fermentation project for publish opinions. This project, involving USD23.27 million of investment, will be built in 2 phases.

According to the CSA, China had produced 10.68 million tonnes of sugar as of late April, 470,100 tonnes higher than the previous production cycle. A total of 5.77 million tonnes of sugar were sold, 1.03 million tonnes higher compared to the 2016/17 period. The sales to production ratio increased by 7.63 percentage points to 54.01%.

In May 2019, the environmental authority of Laian County announced that Anhui Jinhe plans to invest USD1.99 million (RMB13.43 million) in a 100 t/a glucosyl stevia project to knock in the natural sweetener market.

In late April 2019, BLB published its 2018 full-year financial report, showing a rising revenue but a declining net profit. It made headway in its functional sugar segment last year as it participated in the drafting of national standards and passed the site examination of the FDA with no inspectional findings.
