The 12th Shanghai International Starch & Starch Derivatives Exhibition and Shanghai International Potato Expo organized by China Starch Industry Association and UBM was closed on 22 June successfully. Co-located with Fi-Asia China 2017, CPhI China 2017 and other related industry events, the exhibitions covered 26 halls about 200,000 square meters at SNIEC. The 3-days exhibitions with over 3,800 exhibitors had attracted over 84,622 visitors from starch, starch derivatives, pharmaceutical raw materials, food ingredients, nutraceutical and food machinery industry.
There were nearly 200 domestic and abroad enterprises related to starch, starch derivatives, starch processing machinery and potato industry took part in Starch Expo this year. Potato Expo 2017, the concurrent event, focused on potato cultivation, production and processing and staple food, which had attracted approximately 70 exhibitors in potato industry. ‘Innovation & Development, Industrial Convergence - Focusing on the latest application of starch, bio-based materials’ was the theme of Global Starch Industry Conference 2017, about 200 renowned industrial experts and scholars shared latest information and specialized knowledge. After 4 years development, Starch Expo has become the most important and professional event in related industry.
According to post-show questionnaire, more than 60% exhibitors found new clients and maintained previous customers through this exhibition; 80% of the exhibitors would consider coming to the exhibit next year. 40% exhibitors have already ordered booths for Starch Expo 2018 up to now.
The Starch Expo 2018 will be on 11 to 13 July and at SNIEC.
