Database - Read & Download data

Utilizing the state-of-the-art Computer Information Technology and consolidating CCM's 10-year market data information of manufacturers, production, corporate data, import & export, price, etc., CCM has developed a "REAL-TIME" Online Dynamic Database that provides users worldwide access with Market Data and Primary Intelligence Information.

Butterfly value chain pattern
You can go to ValoTracer's database or any 'Data' links in this website. After sign in, you will see a welcome page. If you want to skip this welcome page, you should define your default center node in 'My account'page.
ValoTracer data2

When you skip the welcome page or select/search a product you want, you will find a butterfly value chain pattern in the middle of database. Product on the center is the one that you've just chosen; products on the left wing are the raw materials of centered products while those on the right wing are downstream products. You can click the buttons to locate the products you want and see the data in database. Also, you can see the statistics of the data by moving your mouse to the buttons.

The lines on the value chain system stand for the production technologies between the two chemical products. By moving your mouse to the lines, you can see the key information of the technologies.

Operating instructions:
Step 1: Select the 'Data' link on the homepage and choose a type of data service you want

Step 2: Sign in the database. If you don't have an account, please register a free one.
Step 3: Select or search a product
Step 4: Click the left wing or right wing buttons to make other products be centered

Market indexes
All data in ValoTracer's database is sorted by market indexes. There're 6 common indexes for most of the chemical products, including "Production", "Producer", "Import", "Export", "Price" and "Consumption". For some CCM's products of intensive study, ValoTracer also provides advanced indexes, such as "Industry transfer", "Manufacturing cost", "Fixed cost", "Industrial risk alert", etc. Also, you can order a customized index.

Operating instructions:
Step 1: Select a market index and read data.

Sorted data by region & year
Besides the market indexes, the database's data is also sorted by "Region" and "Year". What's more, data is divided into existing data and forecast data.

Operating instructions:
Step 1: select data in a region or for certain year

Data source, scoring & accuracy
To ensure the quality of data, CCM provides data identify functions. The data's source, scoring and accuracy are listed on every detailed data when you move the mouse to them.

World second-tier consulting companies;
National core academic journals, and seminar papers, dissertations;
Listed companies, industrial associations;

Data analysis & forecast models
Price forecast model
With data and market research experience accumulated on products that we have been following up for years, CCM has already set up price forecast models for them. The price forecast model is capable of forecasting price trends in the next six months. With this model, you can also make your own forecast.

The accuracy of price forecast will decrease as the forecasted time grows farther away from the present.
Price forecast

Operating instructions:
Step 1: Search the products which have price forecast model. There's only Glyphosate technical with the function now.
Step 2: Select "Price" index, and then go to the "Price forecast" tag.
Step 3: You can see the price forecast result that recommended by CCM experts. Option: You can make your own forecast by changing the parameter of the model.

Industrial risk analysis model

Introduction to Industry Risk Analysis
Introduction:
Developed in 1970s, glyphosate industry has been witnessed rapid growth in the past years and become the largest pesticide used worldwide. The popularity and large consumption volume has made it a common commodity, and its further development is affected by a mass of influencing factors. China, the largest production center with glyphosate active ingredients output capturing over 60% of global total, has its own outstanding features that is bound up with the development of global glyphosate industry.

Based on over six-year experiences in global glyphosate industry, CCM realizes that it is important and necessary to establish a unique model (or approach) to evaluate prosperity degree and risk for the whole Chinese glyphosate to help market participants for their right strategies generation or decisions with the world outlook.

By using Glyphosate Industry Risk Analysis Model, the following aspects can be well demonstrated: - Outstanding features related to Chinese glyphosate industry - Scoring of past and current glyphosate industry in China (quarterly) - Scoring of glyphosate industry (quarterly) in China in the coming two years - Risk indication and comments of every index

Approaches:
Glyphosate Risk Assessment Model mainly equips with Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) to evaluate the whole Chinese glyphosate industry. The evaluation or scoring of the whole industry is divided into three layers, namely, overall layer (target layer), intermediate layer (criterion layer) and base layer (indicator layer or index layer). The selection and classification of different indices are based on the principle required in AHP method.

The weight of every index to their upper index is computed by the Delphi matrix (important comparison of indices in a subgroup). A=B1*WB1+B2*WB2+...Bn*WBn

The scores of different indices in the base layer are computed by the following steps: Step 1: Identify the index types: Beneficial types (more score means low risk in the industry) or adverse type (more score means high risk in the industry.) Step 2: Set up the criterion value for each index (indictor): High threshold (Hi) and low threshold (Li). As to the beneficial type indices, high threshold means that index value larger than this threshold can score 100; low threshold means that index value lower than this threshold can score 0. As to the adverse type indices, index value lower than the low threshold can score 100, and index value higher than high threshold should score 0.

Content chunk
Content chunk is a mini article that describes or analyzes a specific event, product, industry, organization or any other things.

Currently, most of the content chunks are obtained by splitting CCM's market reports, newsletters and other consultancy products finished in the past ten years. However, the content chunks will be directly generated from CCM's everyday exclusive survey and professional analysis since 2010.

There are two kinds of content chunks, text-type chunk and image-type chunk. Text-type content chunks are composed of words, while image-type content chunks are mainly composed of tables, figures and photos.

All content chunks have a concise description and are tagged with all kinds of labels for clear understanding. The labels include:

  • - Product mentioned
    - Industry mentioned
    - Species mentioned
    - Living things mentioned
    - Organization mentioned
    - Policy
  • - Registration
    - Production
    - Demand
    - Consumption
    - End user
    - Purchase
    - Downstream
  • - Import
    - Export
    - Price
    - New production line
    - Company dynamics
    - Forecast

For each label, the degree of relatedness ranging from 1 to 5 will be marked to reveal its importance to the content chunk. 1 indicates the lowest relatedness, while 5 indicates the highest relatedness.

Also for each content chunk, the value ranging from 1 to 5 will be evaluated according to the percentage of first-hand info and its depth of analysis. 1 indicates the lowest value, while 5 indicates the highest value.

Here are two samples listed for further explanation.

Sample1:
"Nantong Jiangshan's businesses cover production and sales of pesticides, resin, basic chemicals, etc. In 2008, the company achieved revenue of USD472.49 million (RMB3, 232 million), 70.16% of which are from glyphosate, resin, sodium hydroxide and dichlorvos.

Glyphosate is its major business. In 2008, Nantong Jiangshan gained sale income of USD226.2 million (RMB 1,547 million) from glyphosate business, accounting for 59.3% of its total sales income. Glyphosate business has brought profit of USD72.47 million (RMB495.7 million) in 2008, accounting for 73.15% of its total gross profit.

Owing to the high price of glyphosate in H1 2008, Nantong Jiangshan has achieved gross profit rate of 32.04% in glyphosate business in 2008, despite the price slump in H2 2008.

As glyphosate price decreased sharply and hit the bottom in Q4 2008, glyphosate business brought little profit to the company. It suffered loss this quarter."
