Description:
Niacin includes niconitic acid and nicotinamide and in China about 95% of niacin is nicotinamide. Niacin is widely used in feed, food and pharmaceutical industry. The key end use field for niacin is feed industry. China is the largest feed production country in the world. China's feed industry is developing steadily with high growth, 8~10% annually. The application of niacin in food and pharmaceutical is also promising in China. The consumption share in food and pharmaceutical industry is rising.
China, as one of the major Niacin suppliers in the world, shares about 37% of the total capacity in the world. About 65% of Chinese niacin output is exported.
This report looks into the development history, production, import/export, consumption, technology innovation and benchmarking of niacin in China. Meanwhile, this report also researches the supply situation and price trend of raw materials involved in niacin production. Based on in-depth investigation, CCM forecasts the production and demand of niacin in China to 2013.
With this report, you can not only find the main players, the raw material supply situation and their price trend, but also the current niacin production technology situation of China’s producers, and their production cost in China.
Niacin trade and consumption are also covered in this report. In these parts, you can find out the main export destinations, and the consumption pattern in China, as well as the main end users.
What’s more, producers in China are profiled with in-depth analysis.

China has become one of the major niacin manufacturing countries, as well as an important niacin exporter in the world, since Lonza Guangzhou Fine Chemical Co., Ltd. (Lonza Guangzhou) launched niacin production in 1998. Especially in the 5 recent years, China has been witnessing rapid growth of niacin production.
In 2008, China’s niacin capacity reached XXXt/a, with XXX major producers involved. Among these producers as of May 2009, XXX have remained active with their total capacity of XXXt/a, XXXt/a larger than that in 2003, while the other four have suspended production. In 2008, the total output of the XXX active producers accounted for more than 95% of China’s total.
Lonza Guangzhou, is the biggest niacin producer in China, with its capacity capturing XXX% of China’s total as of May 2009, and the output constituting XXX% in 2008.
China is also an important niacin consumer in the world, and consumed XXX tonnes in 2008. The main niacin consumption fields in China are XXX, XXX and XXX industry.
Driven by increasing demand for niacin both from domestic and overseas markets, niacin output and consumption volume are estimated to climb with the CAGR of XXX% and XXX% respectively during 2009-2013.
Though there are many manufacturing methods for niacin, the widely used methods are only the XXX.
Currently, only XXX and XXX adopt biological method, while the others use chemical one.
